Amy’s Flavour of the Month June 2005
Every month I will be giving you a list of things
that I can’t get through the month without….

Its time to rip off the clotted cream foil and
slice up the strawberries! English strawberries are hitting
the shelves and are the true taste of June – get out those rackets
and start playing tennis!

Rush out (or rush on line to www.amazon.co.uk)
to buy Matthew Fort’s fabulous book Eating Up Italy: Voyages
on a Vespa Fourth Estate £16.99

Eat fresh tiny Broad Beans straight from the pod and serve with
chilled Prosecco. Pod and cook beans in boiling
water for 2-4 minutes then slip off the grey skin to reveal
the emerald green beans. A fabulous salad of broad beans,
pancetta and tomatoes dressed with Olive oil and a squeeze of
lemon juice is divine!

Look for Pipers
Crisps they make the best Sea Salt and Somerset cider vinegar
crisps I have ever tasted!

For all those summer weddings coming up Albumania can
provide the perfect original gift I met the girls at Homes and
Gardens Bowood House spring fair last month and was overjoyed
to find them! www.albumania.com
